Dr. Savva has become one of the founding faculty members of the Bronx
Undergraduate Chemistry Research Center and the liaison with the division of
Pharmaceutics at Long Island University. The Center activities described in the
proposal promote and expand LIU collaboration which began with the Pharmaceutical
Manufacturing Technology Program. Dr. Savva participates in seminars and
other professional development workshops, assists in placing Center student
fellows with research programs at Long Island University and facilitates student
transfer from Bronx Community College to LIU programs. Students from Bronx
community college are trained in his laboratory every summer along with other
Pharm.D. students in projects related to pharmaceutical research.
